Recently, Zzone Homes completed a fantastic double Burlington Ensuite Renovation Project. We had a client who found us online and was very impressed with our previous projects and reviews. They also liked the fact that all of our trades were employed in-house, meaning we have greater control over the work that’s carried out. After seeing our reviews on another Burlington ensuite renovation project, he chose to visit our Stoney Creek showroom to chat about this potential project. We spent a long time talking about his vision and what they were looking to have done.

The client had just purchased a home and was looking to renovate the ensuite powder room and the second-floor shared bathroom. They felt as though the current spaces were very outdated and old-fashioned. So, they wanted something modern and exciting. In the main shared bathroom, they wanted a bathroom upgrade that gave them a brand-new shower with seating, along with a larger custom vanity with a matching mirror. For the ensuite, the client expressed his desire to incorporate a large vanity and designer-grade right height toilet.

We took all of these bathroom upgrade ideas, & here’s what happened next:

Setting up a home visit

The first step was setting up a visit to the property. We organized a time and date that suited everyone, and then went down to see the client’s lovely home. This is very important to us as we can get a better feel for a home by being inside it. It lets us visualize things, and we can take all the necessary measurements from the bathrooms.

Sometimes, we discover that a few client requests for their bathroom upgrades simply are not feasible because of the dimensions of their bathroom. So, this is a crucial step as it lets us know what’s possible and what’s not. It also gives the clients an idea of what things may look like and how much space certain things could take up.

At this stage, we were armed with all the information we needed to head back and get started on this client’s initial designs for this awesome Burlington ensuite renovation project.

Creating the first draft for this double bathroom upgrade project

After visiting the property, we went back to our base and got started on the initial draft for the bathroom renovation. We used state-of-the-art 3D design rendering software to create images of both bathrooms. By paying attention to the client’s brief and using the measurements from the house, we created an accurate design of this double bathroom upgrade project.

Next, we asked the client to come to our design center and look at the progress so far. This is a great opportunity for both of us to ensure we’re on the same page. It’s all well and good getting a brief from a client, but the picture if much clearer when they see an initial design. We showed them the 3D design and made a few minor modifications as per their suggestions. The beauty of this software is that we can edit it in real-time, so they get to see the changes right away. It’s also the best way to help clients visualize what their new space will look like.

We’re also in a position to start talking about quotes and budgets. Once a client sees the digital design they can see how much it will cost. Then, we can move onto the next stage.

Finalizing the bathroom upgrade design

Once the client was happy with the overall layout and design, we started adding the finishing touches. At this stage, we picked out all the finishing materials – such as plumbing fixtures, vanities, tile selections, and even wall colors from our showroom. We gave the client full control over all of these decisions, and we made their life easier by showing them everything in real life, so they saw what it looked like.

Then, we added them to the 3D rendering to provide the most accurate depiction of how the bathrooms would look. The client really enjoyed being able to see a 3D rendering of the bathrooms as it made everything seem real and helped them get a sense of how everything will come together.

After all of this, we were ready to begin the bathroom upgrade project. Things went as smoothly as planned, and we were just as excited as the clients to see this beautifully designed space come to life. We love doing things like this as it’s a test of our skills, but also because we love seeing the look on our client’s faces when everything is finished. All of the precise planning and detailed drawings made getting this project done an absolute breeze. There were no slip-ups, and our clients were highly satisfied with how promptly everything was completed.

Throughout the process, we came across a few standout features that we really enjoyed. The two custom vanities we used from Stone Wood were particularly outstanding. They fit the space perfectly and really gave the clients the look and feel they were hoping for. Also, the matching Stone Wood vanity mirrors made the space feel and look unique, which was a lovely touch.

In the ensuite powder room, we installed new patterned tiles that looked absolutely gorgeous. It definitely updated the space and gave the room a more modern look – the clients loved it! We also loved the full glass seamless enclosure that was installed by our friends at Franks Glass. It made the entire space seem so much bigger, and it highlights the beautiful large format tiles used in the new shower.

Conclusion

It gave us great pleasure to see how everything turned out, and the clients were over the moon with the final product and service.
